Tiffany and Taylor Johnson Memorial Fund

CPR Family and Friends,

The Pastor returned home Sunday following a concert at the church to find his son devastated by the unexpected death of his wife Tiffany Owens Johnson, 27 years old and daughter Taylor Johnson, 3 years old.

Christ Pilgrim Rest M. B. Church is establishing the Tiffany and Taylor Johnson Memorial Fund for the family of our Pastor William Johnson. The fund will be established through Bank of America to help the family with funeral expenses.

A double funeral service is set for Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Christ Pilgrim Rest M. B. Church, 1341 N. Kingshighway, St. Louis, MO 63113. The wake will be at 9am and funeral will follow immediately after at 12 noon.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home.

The church is asking that contributions be made to the memorial fund in lieu of flowers. Contributions should be made payable to Christ Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church and put Tiffany and Taylor Johnson Memorial fund in the memo section. Please mail checks directly to the church at 1341 N. Kingshighway, St. Louis, MO 63113

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and generosity.

Keep the Pastor and his family in your prayers at this trying time.

Men In Worship Service- Success

The men of CPR hosted a grand service last night! Calling on support of christian brothers from around the country they put on an musical extravaganza to raise money for the support of the ministry.

Congratulations to the CPR Male Chorus and Min. Derek Mosely for putting together this one of a kind event (Annual maybe? Hint, hint.) that was a joy for all in attendance. Speaking of which - thank you to every one that came to support the men of CPR in our efforts - we hope you continue that support through and beyond our upcoming Men's and Women's day celebrations.

If you missed the service last night or want to relive it - there are efforts to produce both audio (CD) and video (DVD) copies of the event for sale at later date in the near future. Stay tuned to Christpilgrimrest.com for more information on that.

Rest in Peace - Deacon Navies

We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of our own Deacon Navies who went home to be with the lord yesterday.

He was a highly respected member of our church family and he spirit and poetry will be missed dearly.

Please take the time to pray for strength for his family and loved ones in their time of grieving.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday October 18, 2009 after morning service.
